Criteria for Business Participation

  • This attendee category includes companies with more than 250 employees, business associations, foundations and investors
  • Chief Executives and contact persons of participating Global Compact companies are invited to attend the Making Global Goals Local Business – India event
  • To request an invitation for additional representatives, each individual is asked to submit an invitation request form. It is recommended that no more than five participants per organization register, in order to allow for maximum geographic representation at the event 
  • The vital role of women's empowerment as a driver of sustainable development is widely recognized. Accordingly, organizations are strongly encouraged to strive for gender-balance when nominating representatives

Representatives from other stakeholder groups, including civil society and labour organizations, business associations, academic institutions, Government and the United Nations, will be invited by the UN Global Compact directly. See below for further details.

Criteria for SME and Non-Business

  • This attendee category includes Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with less than 250 employees, civil society organizations, NGOs, academics and public entities
  • Additional SME and Non-Business representatives may submit an invitation request here for futher consideration 

Criteria for UN/IGO Participation

UN/IGO are categorized as UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes with a long-standing working relationship with the UN Global Compact. These participants include representatives from the organizations participating in UN Global Compact working groups, initiatives and platforms.

Other UN/IGOs may submit an invitation request here for further consideration.

Government Participation

The UN Global Compact encourages governments to actively participate in, promote, and support the Making Global Goals Local Business – India event. Select government representatives will be invited directly by the UN Global Compact. Other interested parties are encouraged to request an invitation here

Criteria for Local Network Participation

The UN Global Compact will invite all Local Networks. Complimentary registration applies only to the Representative and Network Contact Person from each Local Network. Additional Local Network participants are required to register as a business participant and pay the SME rate of USD 300. Please contact your Local Network for further information. 


Confirmation

Upon successful completion of the registration process and confirmed payment of the fee (if applicable), registrants will receive an email confirmation. 

Individuals who complete registration, but do not submit a required payment, will be sent an email notifying them of their status as "pending payment", and may then follow instructions to submit payment and finalize registration. For assistance, please contact info.india@unglobalcompact.org.

Please note that registration and payment is required to attend the Making Global Goals Local Business – India event. Failure to complete payment in advance may result in inability to attend. Due to capacity limitations, we recommend that all attendees complete their registration as early as possible.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted to info.india@unglobalcompact.org on or before 3 April 2017. Refunds, minus an administrative fee detailed below, will be completed in the same manner as the original payment was made within 30 days of the refund request.

For those registered under the business category, an administrative fee of USD 100 will apply to cancellations received on or before 3 April 2017. Registration fees will not be refunded for cancellations received after 3 April 2017. 

For those registered under the SME and non-business category, an administrative fee of USD 50 will apply to cancellations received on or before 3 April 2017. Registration fees will not be refunded for cancellations received after 3 April 2017.

Liability

In the case of government intervention or regulation, armed conflict, strikes or any other circumstances that make it impossible or inadvisable for the Making Global Goals Local Business-India event to take place at the time and place previously announced, the participant shall waive any claim for the damage or compensation except the amount paid for registration after deduction of actual expenses incurred with the event, and there shall be no future liability for either party.
