350 Chief Executives, Heads of State and Government, leaders of UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes, and leaders from civil society, business associations, foundations and investor groups will attend the UN Private Sector Forum. Participation is by invitation only. Due to limited capacity, chief executives and leaders from organizations that are UN Global Compact signatories will have priority in attending the event. Criteria for Business Participation

  • Chief Executives Officers of active participating Global Compact companies are invited to attend.
  • If the company’s CEO is unable to attend, he or she may wish to nominate a board-level or “C-Suite” executive to participate. For more information, please contact unpsf@unglobalcompact.org.
  • The policy on the level of participants at the UN Private Sector Forum is quite exceptional, due to the high-level nature of the event and the large number of Heads of State attendance. For these reasons, we can only grant admission to board-level, “C-suite” executives (i.e. Chief Financial Officer, Chief Investment Officer, etc.). 

Representatives from other stakeholder groups, including civil society and labour organizations, business associations, academic institutions, Government and the United Nations, will be invited by the UN Global Compact directly. See below for further details.

Criteria for UN and Civil Society Participation

Heads of UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes and Executive Directors or Presidents of global civil society organizations (CSOs) with a long-standing working relationship with the Global Compact will be invited to participate in the UN Private Sector Forum. 

Government Participation

The Head of State or Government of all UN Member States have been invited to attend the Private Sector Forum. 

Criteria for Local Network Participation

All heads of Global Compact Local Networks are invited to attend the Forum.

All rates published are in USD. All payments per person must be made in USD and received prior to the event. The Foundation for the Global Compact kindly requests that your organization cover any transfer fees charged by your financial institution.  

Registrants will receive an automatic confirmation email once registration is finalize. For participants whose registration requires a fee, registration will only be confirmed once payment is received.

Individuals who complete registration, but click on invoice and do not submit payment, will be sent an email notifying them of their status as pending payment, including instructions on how to submit payment to finalize registration. For assistance, please contact unpsf@unglobalcompact.org.

Please note that registration and payment is required to attend the UN Private Sector Forum 2016. Failure to complete payment in advance may result in inability to attend. The Forum has capacity limitations and as such, we recommend that all attendees complete their registration as early as possible.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted to unpsf@unglobalcompact.org on or before 9 September 2016. Refunds minus an administrative fee of USD 50 will apply to cancellations received before or on 9 September 2016. Refunds will be made in the same manner as the original payment was made within 30 days the refund request. Registration fees will not be refunded for cancellations received after 9 September. 

In the case of government intervention or regulation, armed conflict, strikes or any other circumstances that make it impossible or inadvisable for the UN Private Sector Forum to take place at the time and place as announced, the participant shall waive any claim for the damage or compensation except the amount paid for registration after deduction of actual expenses incurred with the Forum, and there shall be no future liability for either party.
